The When & Where
Grays Point Community Hall
Wednesdays @ 6.30pm
45min Step Class
Please arrive at 6:20pm so you can set up your steps.
We’re on a break over School Holidays.
First class back: Wednesday 23rd July!
The What
It’s cardio with choreography.
It’s 90s fitness in the best possible way.
Each class is built around a routine that grows over four weeks – so you’ll actually get the hang of it (promise!) Expect grapevines, knee lifts, box steps and the occasional triumphant fist pump.
You’ll be sweating. You’ll be smiling. You might even high-five someone.
No mirrors. No judgment. A bunch of top-notch humans moving in sync (mostly).
Because we believe in balance.
Class ends at 7:15pm, and our lovely neighbours at @ Point Cellars are open until 8:00pm if you’re up for a post-class catch-up.
It’s the perfect way to cool down, connect, and share stories about how you absolutely nailed the repeater knee combo.
Our Instructor
I think we’ve found one of the best… meet Alissa!
Alissa is a powerhouse with 20+ years of group fitness experience and a serious passion for movement.
She’s trained in everything from Step to Pilates, Pound®, Barre, and more and has competed eight times at the World Aerobic Championships.
It felt like fate when her name popped up after a local Facebook post - and from our first chat, we knew she was the perfect fit to bring old school Step to Grays Point.
The Cost
$15/class if you book a four-class pass
$20 if you're feeling non-committal and want to drop in
Please note cash only – because tap-and-go doesn’t feel very 90’s!
Your money goes directly towards:
Community hall hire
Alissa for her time and Step magic
$1 from every attendee goes into a social kitty for term-end fun (think snacks, surprises and silly party playlists); and
Because we want to run this as a not-for-profit powered by community vibes any left over funds will be donated to not-for-profit local foundations and groups. (ie., Grays Point RFS etc)
BYO Step
IMPORTANT: You need your own step and you will need to bring it with you each class.
No step = no stepping.
We’re not being mean, just practical.
We found a few great ones at affordable prices in the below links.
How to book
We’re kicking things off with just 40 spots per class, so booking is essential – even though we’re keeping it delightfully low-tech.
You’ve got two options:
One-off class – book your spot, turn up, and pay $20 cash on arrival
4 class pass – book your spot, bring $60 cash to cover all four sessions
Important: We don’t take payment online – it’s cash only, just like the good old days.
When you arrive at the hall, we’ll have a simple check-in sheet ready for you.
IMPORTANT: If you can't make it, we ask that you cancel your spot via Calendly – it’s quick, and it frees up a place for someone else who’s keen to step in.
Booking your 4 week routine: We strongly encourage booking your 4 weeks in advance if you wish to take advantage of the $15 class rate
(Each routine goes for four weeks before changing song / routine)
